Notes: After starting the year with three of four games on the road, the Blue Devils begin a three-game home stand with the Vikings. The 63 points scored by GAHS last week ties the 63-20 win over Portsmouth in Week 8 of 2010 as the most by a Mike Eddy-led team. The Blue Devils have outscored opponents by a 135-82 overall margin through four weeks after mustering just 137 points through all of last year. Third-year Vinton County coach Justy Burleson will be making his first trip back to a Gallia County gridiron since leaving the South Gallia program after the 2009 campaign. Burleson — who took the Rebels to the playoffs in 2005 and 2006 — is 4-20 overall at VCHS through two-plus seasons. The Vikings have been outscored 54-116 through four weeks, but followed a 33-0 loss to Bloom Carroll in Week 3 by doubling their offensive point total for the season with last week’s win against South Point — concluding a three-game home stand. This will be just one of four road games for the Vikings this fall.

Alex Herrell, Tanner Mays, and Brandon Craft each scored two touchdowns on the ground last week for SVHS.
