Betty Mae Cain Carte, 85, of Point Pleasant, went to be with the Lord on August 4, 2012, at Holzer Medical Center.
She was born on April 2, 1927, in Buffalo, a daughter to the late Jacob Cain and Dora Hull Cain. She was retired from the medical field as a X-ray technician, and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Point Pleasant, was an avid gardener and quilter, and loved all sports from West Virginia University.
She is preceded in death besides her parents, by her husband, John K. Carte.
Betty is survived by her son, Frederick Carte of Point Pleasant; daughter, Connie Carte also of Point Pleasant; step-son Kenneth D. Carte of Midland, Texas; and special friend, Lois Riffle of Point Pleasant.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 7, 2012, at Buffalo Memorial Gardens in Buffalo, with Pastor Jim Kelly officiating. The funeral procession will leave at 10 a.m. from the Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant. At her request there will be no visitation, and in lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Trinity United Methodist Church building fund.
