POINT PLEASANT — Battle Days royalty has been chosen to reign over the festival with contestants receiving titles of Little Miss, Little Mr., Jr. Miss, Young Miss and Miss Battle Days.

Miss Battle Days 2012 is Lauren Roush with Amanda Baker as first runner-up, Cyrena Roach as second runner-up and Kasondra Peters as third runner-up.

Little Miss Battle Days 2012 is Addyson Stein, daughter of RF and Aimee Stein of Gallipolis Ferry. Also in this category, Allyson Gillispie, daughter of Carl and Danielle Gillispie of Letart, is first runner-up. Taylor Wood, daughter of Jimmie and Ashley Wood of Point Pleasant, is second runner-up and most photogenic. Delaney Roberts, daughter of Shad and Shana Roberts of Gallipolis Ferry, is third runner up.

Little Mr. Battle Days 2012 is Tre Gillispie, son of Carl and Danielle Gillispie of Letart.

Jr. Miss Battle Days 2012 is Kate Henderson, daughter of Jim and Andrea Henderson of Henderson. Also in this category, Elicia Wood, daughter of Chip and Heather Wood of Point Pleasant, is first runner-up. Cierra Rollins, daughter of Paige and Trent Rollins and David Rollins of Point Pleasant, is Cong and People’s Choice winner.

Young Miss Battle Days 2012 and Cong is Katherine Deem, daughter of Deron and Missy Deem of Leon. Also in this category, Erykah Roach, daughter of Angela Ridenour Roach of Point Pleasant and Jason Roach, is first runner-up.

The pageant is organized by Brandy Barkey Sweeney, with local businesses John Sang Ford, Deal Funeral Home, Farmers Bank and Peoples Bank helping to make it happen. The Battle Days Pageant also acts as a fundraiser for the Mason County Toys for Kids Association which purchases toys for needy children in Mason County at Christmas.

Battle Days begins Friday, Oct. 5 and continues through Sunday, Oct. 7 with the majority of events taking place at Tu-Endie-Wei State Park.
