It is becoming more apparent that in this new digital economy, the availability of high-speed internet is a necessity.
I believe that broadband is one of the greatest opportunities to grow and diversify West Virginia’s economy, which is why I have made expanding access a top priority.
Through efforts like my Capito Connect Plan and other legislative solutions, I am working hard to connect homes, businesses and schools so we can not only communicate with one another but so we can compete and thrive, and create more opportunities for the next generation of West Virginians.
This goal can’t be completed alone. In fact, I need your help.
The West Virginia Broadband Enhancement Council launched an internet speed test and I am encouraging all West Virginians to take this as soon as possible.
By doing so, you will be able to measure your internet service in just a matter of minutes.
Your results will help us determine who has internet and who does not, and it will ultimately lead us to improve access to affordable and reliable broadband service throughout your community and across the entire state.
Take the speed test by visiting https://broadband.wv.gov/Home/SpeedTest and share your results and comments with my office by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or through my office at one of the following locations: Charleston, 500 E. Virginia St., Suite 950, Phone: (304) 347-5372. Martinsburg, 300 Foxcroft Ave., Suite 202A, Phone: (304) 262-9285. Morgantown, 48 Donley St., Suite 504, Phone: (304)292-2310. Beckley, 220 N. Kanawha St., Suite 1, Phone: (304) 347-5372.
So, let’s see how your service lines up.
