BELPRE, Ohio — Simply outmatched.


The Eastern and Wahama golf teams didn’t have an answer for the Tri-Valley Conference Hocking Division host Belpre, Monday night at Oxbow Golf Course. Belpre’s earned the win with a 162, while EHS posted a 230 and the White Falcons were unable to post a team score.


The Golden Eagles were led by co-medalists Sam Perry and Logan Plummer, who both shot 3-over par 38. Ryan McGee marked a 42 for BHS, while Brennen Ferrell contributed a 44 to round out the team total. Alex Perry and Jackie Cunningham both fired 45 but they did not effect the team total.


Eastern was led by Ty Bissell with a 51, followed by Zach Connolly with a 57, Kaleb Honaker with a 59 and Jacob Brewer with a 63. Dillon Swatzel (66) and Sean Evans (67) also golfed for the Eagles but did not count toward the team total.


Nathaniel Redman led the White Falcons with a 43, followed by Mason Hicks with a 47 and Bekah Groves with a 56.


Eastern returns to action on Thursday when it hosts Miller and Trimble, while Wahama’s next match will be on September 3, at Southern.
