LOGAN, Ohio — So much for the friendly confines of home.

Warren handed host Logan its first league loss of the season following a 10-shot victory over the field during the third Southeastern Ohio Athletic League golf match held Monday night at Hocking Hills Golf Club in Hocking County.

The Warriors posted two of the four sub-40 rounds over nine holes en route to final team tally of 155, which was 10 strokes ahead of the Chieftains and their total of 165. Logan (11-1) maintained its overall lead in the standings through three events, while WHS moved into sole possession of second place with a 9-3 league mark.

Gallia Academy finished third on the day with a team score of 182, while Portsmouth and Jackson rounded out the last two spots with respective efforts of 188 and 198. GAHS is currently third with a 7-5 mark in SEOAL play, while PHS (2-10) moved one spot ahead of Jackson (1-11) for fourth place overall.

There was a tie for medalist honors on the day between Trent Rodbell of Portsmouth and Max Hapney of Warren, both of whom fired even par rounds of 36.

Taae Hamid paced the Blue Devils with a 43, followed by Dares Hamid with a 44 and Zach Graham with a 47. Bruce Moreaux rounded out the team score with a 48, while Marcus Moore and Miles Cornwell added respective efforts of 50 and 52.

Kyler Dennis followed Hapney for WHS with a 38, while Drew Simms and Josh Jankauskas rounded out the winning tally with respective rounds of 40 and 41.

Jacob Barstow paced LHS with a 38, followed by Paul Duffy with a 41 and Logan Holbrook with a 42. Jared Walker rounded out the scoring with a 44.

Brandon Jones followed Rodbell for PHS with a 41, while Austin Jones and Jahmir King closed things out with rounds of 54 and 57, respectively.

Ricky Fraley led the Ironmen with a 45, followed by Cole Massie with a 49. Jared LeMaster and John Bachtel posted identical efforts of 52 to wrap up the scoring.
