POINT PLEASANT — The city of Point Pleasant will once again sponsor the free summer-long concert series Mayor’s Night Out at Riverfront Park.


The concerts are held from 8-10 p.m. each Friday night through Aug. 29, with the exceptions of regatta and fair weekends. There are 11 artists booked for this year’s concert series that began Friday night with the Modock Rounders.


The Mayor’s Night Out Concert Series schedule is as follows: June 13, Living Proof, a gospel group; June 20, Sheri Dean who performs gospel, country, bluegrass and folk; July 11, Forever Blessed which is a gospel group; July 18, Paul Doeffinger who performs original material and classic hits; July 25, Gary Tolley who performs classic rock, country, beach and gospel music; Aug. 1, Bunkhammer which performs rock and blues; Aug. 15, Ivan Smith and Still Water that both perform gospel; Aug. 22, Bill Hawks who performs country rock and mixture; Aug. 29, Two River Junction which performs classic country and classic rock.
