POINT PLEASANT — The unofficial results from the race for delegates in the 13th district are in, and for the Republicans it was a close one.

According to the West Virginia Secretary of State’s website, incumbent Scott Cadle was the clear top vote-getter with 936 votes. Following Cadle is Tim Gibson with 693 votes and Michael Ihle with 683 — a difference of only 10 votes.

Also, Nathan “Nate” Westfall received 622 votes. At least for now, it appears the GOP candidates for the general election are Cadle and Gibson.

For the Democrats in the 13th district, Joshua Martin was the top vote getter with 1,205, followed by Josh McGrath with 817 and Rosalee Juba-Plumley with 737. So Martin and McGrath advance to the general election for the Democrats.

In the 14th district, Incumbent Jim Butler (R) will face off against Johnny Roach (D).
