The first day of spring is March 20 but for months now, workers with Bob’s Market and Greenhouses have been preparing for the big day and the even bigger season. On Friday, the main greenhouses in Mason were busy with activity - from watering, to bedding, to transporting from one end of headquarters to the other. Bob’s Market and Greenhouses is much more than a few retail stores with its products being shipped all over the country. Pictured are workers watering Bob’s famous Boston Ferns and rows upon rows of marigolds beginning to bloom despite the subzero temperatures of this winter. For a few weeks now spring has arrived indoors under the greenhouse domes so it’s only a matter of time before it shows up outdoors and in gardens across the area.
