Plea


Ashley M. Barr, age and address unreported, entered a plea of guilty to misdemeanor petit larceny, a lesser included offense of grand larceny as charged in the indictment handed down against her by the May 2013 term of the grand jury. Barr recently appeared before Judge Thomas C. Evans, III. She received a joint indictment along with Jarred B. Knight, age and address unreported, in regards to an alleged burglary which took place in May 2012 at a Gallipolis Ferry residence. Charges against Knight were dismissed by Judge Evans, according to the court docket filed in the office of Circuit Clerk Bill Withers. Barr was ordered to pay restitution and is scheduled to return for sentencing at 9:30 a.m., March 14.


Circuit court appearances


Cases and defendants recently appearing before Judge David W. Nibert in Mason County Circuit Court: State v. Michael J. Craig, evaluation, continued to 9:30 a.m., March 28. State v. Tara S. Cheesebrew, hearing on revocation of bond, bond revoked, 14 days in jail, bond to be reinstated. State v. Roy J. See, pretrial hearing, defendant did now show, capias warrant issued. State v. Todd Thompson, trial set for Feb. 25. State v. Zachary M. Lawson, forensic hearing continued to 9:30 a.m., Feb. 14. State v. Larry Clonch, new pretrial at 1:30 p.m., May 2, new trial at 9:30 a.m., May 14. Town of Hartford v. Jack and Connie Fields, right of entry hearing, continued. Town of Hartford v. McMillin, right of entry hearing, continued to 10 a.m., March 7.


Arrests


The Point Pleasant Police Department filed its most recent monthly activity report with city council as follows: 69 citations written; 13 misdemeanor arrests; two felony arrests; seven accident reports taken; 21 complaint reports taken. Arrested and transported to the Western Regional Jail were: Robert L. Smith, III, grand larceny warrant. Ralph R. Kerwood, grand larceny. Paul M. Maines, disorderly conduct, public intoxication, obstructing officer. Roger D. Dowler, Jr., domestic battery warrant.


The following were recently booked into the Western Regional Jail by law enforcement agencies in Mason County: Raymond G. McCullough, 49, address unreported, domestic battery, booked Feb. 10. Clyde J. Prince, 51, address unreported, domestic battery third offense, fugitive from justice, booked Feb. 10, bond set at $75,000 and $100,000 in Mason County Magistrate Court.
