Another round of snow began falling in Mason County Sunday night and into Monday morning. The weather system canceled schools and closed the Mason County Courthouse. This heavy, wet snow made getting out of driveways a treacherous event. The heaviest snow totals were in northern Mason County where 7-8 inches of snow was reported as well as around four to five inches in the Point Pleasant area. Temperatures will remain in the 30’s for much of the week, ensuring the snow will stick around for at least another day or two. Pictured is a scene from Tu-Endie-Wei State Park on Monday where no one, not even this frontiersman, was exempt from the snow. Also, this county employee cleans the sidewalks in front of the empty courthouse.
