It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Despite the weather canceling a previous performance, the show went on for the Ohio River Dance Ballet Troupe’s production of “The Nutcracker Ballet.” Pictured is a scene from last night’s performance with a more in depth story to be printed in an upcoming edition of the Point Pleasant Register. Also pictured is Greg Fowler, director of the Mason County branch of the Family Resource Network, receiving this year’s influx of toys and games from The Greenbrier. The resort has provided 850 gifts, worth $21,942.75, for Mason County children. The Greenbrier donates toys to organizations all over the state through its program “Create a Dream Tree for Kids” — purchasing around $1 million worth of toys. Churches and other organizations, including Mountain State Healthy Families, refer children to the program whose families may not be in a position to buy presents this year.
