The Mason County Commission recently welcomed Boy Scouts James Harris and Jimmie Wood, III, pictured, who were from Troop 258 and working on separate badges relating to citizenship as well as communications. Both Scouts brought with them the Scout Oath which includes a promise to keep themselves “mentally awake,” asking some questions of the commission about local government. Pictured alongside Harris and Wood are County Administrator John Gerlach, Troop Leader James Harris, Sr., Commissioners Miles Epling, Rick Handley and Tracy Doolittle.
