After sold out performances in Columbus, Ohio, the “Icons” musical review came to Point Pleasant Junior/Senior High School this weekend and left with rave reviews. Pictured are “Icons” director and co-choreographer, Shane Carpenter, who is also a graduate of Point Pleasant High School and artistic director for “Infusion Dance” in Worthington, Ohio. Alongside Carpenter is his co-choreographer/co-director and former Olympian, Aliane Baquerot Wilson. Also pictured taking their curtain call is the troupe of professional dancers who performed the show celebrating pop music icons and dance. The dancers held a meet and greet in the lobby of PPJ/SHS, inspiring future dancers Emily Stacy and Kylie Billings, pictured here. After their performance, the dancers gave their earnings to Camp Sunrise, Ohio’s only summer camp program developed specifically for children impacted by HIV/AIDS.
