A Blanchester man has been indicted by a Clinton County grand jury on charges of corrupting another with drugs and trafficking in marijuana in connection with an alleged incident involving a 15-year-old girl and some of her friends.

Dave Poorman, of Blanchester, was indicted on the two counts when the grand jury met recently in Clinton County Common Pleas Court, according to the office of Clinton County Prosecuting Attorney Rick Moyer.

“On Monday, March 31, a concerned parent came to the police station to report that her daughter, age 15, and some of her friends had obtained marijuana from a man named ‘Dave’ residing in downtown Blanchester,” said Blanchester Police Chief Scott Reinbolt.

“Through a series of interviews and a search of state, local and public records, Cpl. Brian Noah learned that a man named David Poorman, 27, resided at 107 E. Main St., Blanchester,” Reinbolt said.

The police chief said when Noah interviewed Poorman at his residence, he seized a small amount of marijuana and several pipes used to smoke the drug.

“The charges allege that on March 30, 2014, Poorman furnished a controlled substance to a minor, and further, on that same date, he sold or attempted to sell marijuana,” Reinbolt said.

The charges are both felony offenses.

Six additional persons were indicted by the recent grand jury on 14 counts, according to the prosecutor’s office.

Those indicted, their latest addresses known by law enforcement officers and their charges were:

• Keauna Strickland of Wilmington, burglary, theft of drugs and petty theft.

• Josef Drigotas of Wilmington, burglary, theft of drugs and petty theft.

• Kelcee Bloch of New Vienna, burglary, theft of drugs and petty theft.

• James Sever of Wilmington, theft from an elderly person and theft.

• Derek Zurface of Sabina, domestic violence and felonious assault.

• Alon Russell of Xenia, possession of drugs.
