A Hillsboro man was apprehended early Tuesday morning by the Hillsboro Police Department following the investigation of a robbery of the Subway restaurant located on North High Street.

According to information released by HPD, Kevin A. Brock, 33, was identified as the suspect in the alleged robbery and was arrested around 2 a.m. on Tuesday.

The HPD said in a statement that officers responded to a report of a robbery shortly before 8 p.m. at 224 N. High St. Officers arrived on the scene with four minutes.

It was reported to police that a male subject had demanded cash and said he had a gun, but didn’t display it. The subject then fled the scene, but a description of the vehicle was obtained by police.

Through investigation, according to HPD’s statement, officers were able to develop a suspect and identify him.

The statement indicates that no one was injured during the robbery.

Brock is currently in jail at the Highland County Justice Center and has been charged with first-degree felony aggravated robbery.

He is set to appear in the municipal court Wednesday morning.
