Hillsboro man indicted for first-degree felony rape

A Hillsboro man has been indicted for rape and that indictment is just one of 17 handed down Tuesday in the January session of a Highland County grand jury.


Christopher W. Greene Sr., 37, of Hillsboro, is charged with rape, a first-degree felony.


On Wednesday, Greene was arraigned in the Highland County Common Pleas Court by video from the county jail. His bond was set at $75,000 plus O.R.


The indictment alleges that the offense occurred in October and that Greene “engaged in sexual conduct” with the victim who was “compelled … to submit by force or threat of force.”


Greene, who was arrested in December, could face three to 11 years in prison if found guilty.


Others indicted on Tuesday are as follows:


• Buddy L. Evans, 34, of Greenfield, charged with fifth-degree felony possession of crack cocaine, fourth-degree felony trafficking in crack cocaine in the vicinity of a school zone, and a forfeiture specification;


• Jennifer R. Truman, 29, of Greenfield, charged with illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, a third-degree felony;


• Marshall C. Smith, 31, of Greenfield, charged with illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, a third-degree felony;


• Courtney D. Newland, 42, of Washington C.H., charged with fifth-degree felony possession of heroin;


• Christopher M. Magee, 38, of Hillsboro, charged with burglary, a fourth-degree felony, and breaking and entering, a fifth-degree felony;


• Paul E. Kibler Jr., 45, of Hillsboro, charged with aggravated possession of methamphetamine, a fifth-degree felony;


• Justin W. Deaton, 29, of Hillsboro, charged with possession in and trafficking of heroin, both fifth-degree felonies, and a forfeiture specification;


• Nicholas A. Dolph, 29, of Hillsboro, charged with illegal manufacture of drugs, a second-degree felony, and illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, a third-degree felony;


• Charles Warner Jr., 32, of Hillsboro, charged with receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony;


• John T. Allen, 39, of Lynchburg, charged with forgery and receiving stolen property, both fifth-degree felonies;


• Joey J. Martin, 23, of Sardinia, charged with second-degree felony burglary, fifth-degree felony theft from the elderly, and fifth-degree felony breaking and entering;


• Jerry W. Harner Jr., 21, of Leesburg, charged with failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony, and misdemeanor endangering children;


• David T. Stanforth, 30, of Hillsboro, charged with illegal manufacture of drugs, a second-degree felony, and illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, a third-degree felony;


• Jesse J. Carpenter, 22, of New Vienna, charged with illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, third-degree felony, and possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony;


• Kayleigh B. Johnson, 27, of Chillicothe, charged with second-degree felony illegal manufacture of drugs;


• Shaun Davis, 27, of Hillsboro, charged with illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, third-degree felony, and possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony.
