While the search continues for a Blanchester woman wanted for aggravated robbery and two other suspects, an agent from the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation was in Blanchester Tuesday processing a car which was last driven by one of the suspects, said Blanchester Police Chief Scott Reinbolt.

Brittany Hoggatt, of 703 E. Center St., Blanchester, who remains at-large, along with two unidentified black males, reportedly held two men — Mark Simons and Cole Campbell — against their will and assaulted them on Saturday, Reinbolt said. Hoggatt then used a gun to get $350 from Simons, according to police.

Police said the incident was drug related.

The vehicle that was being processed by the BCI agent on Tuesday belonged to one of the victims, Reinbolt said.

The BCI agent was also processing other evidence in the case. The evidence will then be examined by the BCI laboratory in London, Ohio.

Several hours after Simons and Campbell were abducted, Hoggatt and the two men released them in a field on State Route 133, police said. That is when they were able to go to a home nearby and phone police at approximately 7:15 p.m. Saturday.

Hoggatt and the two male suspects were last seen driving a silver four-door BMW with Michigan license plate CFK-4132. The car is registered to Hoggatt’s mother, a Michigan resident.

“Over the past 24 hours, the police department has received numerous tips on the robbery and abduction that took place over the weekend,” Reinbolt said. “We are following up on those leads as quickly as our resources allow.”

Reinbolt has been working with the Cincinnati Police Department and the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office which have provided background data on the two suspects who remain unidentified as of early Tuesday afternoon.

“We are appreciative of all the information that has been forthcoming,” Reinbolt said.
