Children’s Christmas Party
POINT PLEASANT — The Point Pleasant River Museum will be hosting a children’s Christmas party at the river museum, 28 Main St., Point Pleasant on Saturday, Dec. 21 beginning at 1 p.m. Puppet show by the French Art Colony Riverby Puppet Playhouse, a sing-along of Christmas songs will follow the puppet show with Caleb Grimm at the piano. Santa will attend to talk to children. Each child will receive something to take with them. Parents are welcome to bring cameras.
FLATROCK — Flatrock Volunteer Fire Department will have a Christmas party from 6-8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 20, for children from the Flatrock coverage area. Santa will attend, and light refreshments will be served.
New Haven holiday schedule
NEW HAVEN — Town offices of New Haven will be closed on December 24 and 25, and January 1 to observe the holidays. Trash pick-up for December 24 will be on December 26; trash pick-up for December 25 will be on December 27. Call the city hall at (304) 882-3203 for more information.
Point city offices holiday schedule
POINT PLEASANT — The City of Point Pleasant offices will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 24-25 for Christmas. Garbage pickup will be normal for Monday, Tuesday and Friday with Wednesday and Thursday pickup a day late.
Crosslight of Hope donation hours
ASHTON — Crosslight of Hope accepts donations on Monday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. only. The outreach center serves those in the Southern end of Mason County with food and clothing. Director Delyssa Edmonds says it’s important to leave donations only when someone is there to accept them due to theft on a daily basis from the premises.
