GLENWOOD — A Glenwood man was arrested over the weekend for allegedly stabbing his older brother.
Cameron S. Deal, 25, of Glenwood, was arrested and charged with malicious wounding. He appeared in Mason County Magistrate Court for arraignment, where his bond was set at $100,000, surety.
According to the Mason County Sheriff’s Department, around 4 a.m. Sunday, deputies responded to a “hang-up call” to Mason County 911 which originated from a residence on Guyan Creek Road. Upon arrival, deputies secured the scene and began investigating what they described as a “domestic incident” between Deal and his older brother, Justin B. Deal, 27, of Glenwood.
The sheriff’s department reported Cameron had allegedly stabbed Justin due to an “alcohol-fueled argument/altercation.” No further information about the “argument/altercation” was released in the statement from the sheriff’s department.
Cameron, who was taken into custody at the scene Sunday on Guyan Creek Road, was transported to the Western Regional Jail, where he remained incarcerated as of Monday evening.
The sheriff’s department reported Justin was in surgical ICU recovery at Cabell Huntington Hospital in stable condition, as of Monday afternoon.
