MASON — A Columbus, Ohio woman was arrested on a felony drug charge Sunday evening by the Mason Police Department.
Krista Nicole Miller, 37, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver by Officer Sierra Carmichael.
According to Police Chief Rich Gilkey, Officer Carmichael observed a white GMC Blazer swerving as it traveled south across the Bridge of Honor on Sunday at approximately 10 p.m. Upon stopping the vehicle, Officer Carmichael asked the driver and passenger if they had any illegal substances.
Miller allegedly admitted to having “crack.” Upon searching, Officer Carmichael found two small plastic bags and one larger plastic bag of white powder and rock-like substance in Miller’s pants, the chief stated. The contents of the bags field-tested positive for cocaine.
Miller was transported to the Western Regional Jail. Assisting in the arrest were Chief Gilkey and G.C. Burnem of the West Virginia State Police.
