POINT PLEASANT — For the past 20 years, photos of some of the county’s most beautiful babies have graced the Mason County Right to Life booth at the Mason County Fair.
And with this year’s fair quickly approaching, time is running out to enter the 21st Mason County Right to Life Pretty Baby Photo Contest. The deadline to submit a photo, along with a $5 fee, is Saturday.
Photos must be of babies who are between the ages of newborn and 36 months as of Aug. 7. Babies must be Mason County residents.
Entry photos should be 8 x 10 inches, framed or unframed, according to Vicky Nazarewycz, one of the event organizers. The baby’s name, parents’ names, address, and telephone number should be written on the back of the photo.
The contest will be judged during the fair, which is set for Aug. 7 through 12. Fairgoers will vote for their favorite baby picture by making a monetary donation at the Right to Life booth. The photo receiving the most donations at the end of the fair will be declared the winner. The winner will receive a $50 gift card, while the runner-up will receive a $25 gift card.
Submitted photos can be dropped off at Willa’s Bible Book Store, Main Street, Point Pleasant, or at Health Aid Pharmacy, Fifth Street, New Haven. To arrange for photo pick-up, call Nazarewycz at 304-882-3570 or Connie Gibbs at 304-882-2741. Contest photos become the property of the Mason County Right to Life organization, but will be available for pick-up after noon on Aug. 12.
There will also be daily gift drawings at the booth aside from the contest.
For more information, contact Gibbs or Nazarewycz at the above telephone numbers, or Wayne Sanders at 304-812-8132.
