Mason County EMS

Mason County EMS was toned out a total of 232 times from July 1-14; Station 100 had 128 calls (55.2 percent), Station 200 had 41 calls (17.7 percent), and Station 500 had 63 calls (27.2 percent), this includes transports, emergencies and all others.

There were total of 186 calls; transports and emergencies, including: 37 general medical, 5 abdominal pain, 4 altered mental status, 11 breathing problems, 1 cardiac arrest, 4 chest pains, 4 seizures 5 diabetic emergencies, 4 falls, 1 fractured body part, 1 toe/foot, 1 heat/cold exposure, 3 hemorrhage/laceration, 2 hypotension, 8 overdose, 2 pregnancy/childbirth, 1 stroke/CVA, and 1 tachycardia.

Transport Breakdown included: ALS transports 6, CCT transports 1, BLS transports 84.

There were 59 calls which resulted in not taking a patient anywhere: 6 ALS Assists, 1 BLS treatment, transported by ALS, 18 cancelled enroute, 5 no patient contact, 16 patients refused care, 13 treated then refused. There were 95 patients transported to the following area hospitals (these include transports as well as emergencies): 61 to PVH, 9 to HMC-G, 6 to HMC-P, 5 to SMH, 11 to CHH, 1 Riverside Methodist, 1 OSU, 1 Treated transported by Air Medical (Health Net).
