The Mason County Sheriff’s Department reports the following arrests from June 23-28: Charles L. Fields, 35, Gallipolis Ferry, driving on suspended, arrested by Lt. Greene. Adam J. Beard, 33, Point Pleasant, fugitive from justice, capias, arrested by Cpl. Rhodes. Conrad D. Berkley, II, 36, Gallipolis Ferry, capias, arrested by Deputy Ferrel. Ronald E. Harris, 52, Leon, capias, arrested by Deputy Ferrell. Michael A. Salmons, 33, Ashton, domestic battery, arrested by Deputy M. Stewart. Norma D. Reiser, 51, Gallipolis Ferry, burglary, arrested by Deputy Cavender. Timothy M. Hurlow, 60, Gallipolis Ferry, littering, arrested by Deputy Ferrell. Grace A. Smith, 29, Gallipolis Ferry, capias, arrested by Cpl. Rhodes. Derek R. Riffle, 34, Point Pleasant, child neglect, DUI second offense, driving on revoked, arrested by Deputy Ferrell. Billy J. Bowman, 40, Point Pleasant, malicious wounding, nighttime burglary, arrested by Deputy Cavender.

Mason County EMS

June 1 – 15, Mason County EMS was toned out a total of 240 times. Station 100 had 144 calls (60 percent), Station 200 had 30 calls (12.5 percent) and Station 500 had 66 calls (27.5 percent), this includes transports, emergencies and all others.

There were 200 patients total: 39 general medical, 5 abdominal pain, 5 abdominal pain, 1 allergic reaction, 5 altered mental status, 11 breathing problems, 1 cardiac arrest, 10 seizures, 9 chest pains, 1 diabetic emergencies, 12 fall, 1 fractured body part, 4 head injury, 3 hemorrhage/laceration, 2 hypertension, 1 hypotension, 1 infection, 1 nausea/vomiting, overdose, 3 pregnancy / childbirth, 2 psychiatric problems, 1 stroke/CVA, and 1 tachycardia.

There were 60 calls which resulted in not taking a patient anywhere: 8 ALS assists, 4 BLS treatment, transported by ALS, 17 cancelled enroute, 1 dead at scene no body transported, 2 lift assist to another crew, 4 no patient contact, 11 patients refused care, 8 treated then refused, 5 treated transported by air medical. There were 127 patients taken to the area hospitals: 71 to PVH, 18 to HMC-G, 7 to HMC-P, 17 to SMH, 4 to CHH, 1 CAMC General, 3 CAMC Teays Valley, 4 OSU, 2 Jackson General. These include transports as well as emergencies.

Transport breakdown includes: ALS transports, 8. C3ift transports, 4. BLS transports, 69.
