MASON — Krista Clay and Cynthia Hendrick have been announced as the top two in their class of graduating seniors at Wahama High School for 2017.
Each will address their fellow classmates and those attending the commencement exercises on Friday at 7 p.m., in the school gymnasium. A total of 44 seniors will be graduating.
Clay is the daughter of Paul Clay and Debra Clay of Mason. Vice-president of the National Honor Society, Clay represented the school at the WSAZ Best of the Class 2017.
She is a member of the Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society and served as class president her junior year. Clay was on the Farmers Bank Junior Board of Directors, and participated in choir and Future Business Leaders of America. She has also been designated a Wahama “Student of the Month.”
Hendrick is the daughter of Viki Hendrick and Rex Hendrick of Letart. A member of the National Honor Society, she has played varsity softball for four years, and was a member of the school volleyball team for two years. Hendrick is a 4-H member, and has been designated a Wahama “Student of the Month.”
