MASON — Several Wahama High School students were inducted as members Wednesday, when both the National Honor Society and Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society, held Spring tapping ceremonies.
National Honor Society (NHS) inductees were Grace Haddox, Brandon Duncan, David Hendrick, Aubree Johnson, Noah Litchfield, Michela Williamson, Destiny Sayre, Jacob Lloyd, Hannah Billups, Courtney Rickard, Jacob Fisher, Camryn Tyree, and Jackson Hall.
Those inducted into the Rho Kappa honor society were Lauren Fields, Colton Arrington, Courtney Rickard, Brandon Duncan, Camryn Tyree, Sydnee Whaley, Kaitlyn Greene, Megan Roush, Kyrsten Baker, Madelyne VanMatre, Alexa Layne, Hannah Billups, Aubree Johnson, Destiny Sayre, Baylee Hoffman, Jacob Lloyd, Anthony Ortiz, and Kerrigan Blake.
Isaiah Pauley, Rho Kappa president, opened the ceremony, with Tilar Darst leading the Pledge of Allegiance. Criteria for NHS membership was explained by Matthew Wood, Cynthia Hendrick, Wyatt Edwards, and Kaleb Gibbs.
Rebecca Groves, NHS president, recognized advisors Catherine Hamm and Kaitlin Ramirez with flowers from the chapter members. She also introduced Lauren Fields as the incoming NHS president.
Criteria for Rho Kappa membership was explained by members Rebecca Gerlach, Tilar Darst, Madison VanMeter, and Kenzie Warth.
Isaiah Pauley recognized advisor Catherine Hamm with a gift from the Rho Kappa society members.
