Mason County EMS

Between March 15 – 29, Mason County EMS was toned out a total of 213 times; Station 100 had 131 61.5 percent of calls, Station 200 had 29 13.6 percent of calls and Station 500 had 53 24.9 percent of calls. These calls include transports, emergencies and all others. There were 110 total calls; 46 General Medical, 8 Abdominal Pain, 1 Allergic reaction, 4 Altered Mental Status, 13 Breathing problems,3 Cardiac arrest, 1 Seizures, 4 Chest pains, 2 Diabetic emergencies, 6 Fall, 5 Head injury, 3 Hemorrhage/Laceration, 2 Hypertension, 5 Overdose, 4 Psychiatric Problems, 1 Respiratory Arrest, 1 Stroke/CVA and 1 Tachycardia. There were 50 calls which resulted in not taking a patient anywhere: 6 ALS Assists, 13 Cancelled enroute, 1 Dead on scene no transport, 1 Dead on scene transported, 9 No patient contact, 11 Patients refused care, 8 Treated then refused, 1 Treated transferred to Air medical. There were 121 patients taken to the area hospitals: 73 to PVH, 16 to HMC-G, 1to HMC-P, 18 to SMH, 7 to CHH, 1 Putnam General, 1 WVU Ruby, 1 Jackson General, 1 CAMC and 1 to OSU. These include transports as well as emergencies. Transport Breakdown is as follows: ALS transports, 11. BLS transports, 53. PVH transferred 37 patients from their facility. HMC-G ER transferred 1 patient from their facility. SMH transferred 1 patient from their facility.
