Mason County Sheriff’s Department
The Mason County Sheriff’s Department reports the following arrests made Feb. 25-March 3: Jack Reitmire, III, 20, Leon, child concealment, arrested by Deputy Ferrell. Shawn A. Scurlock, 38, Point Pleasant, truancy second offense warrant, arrested by Cpl. Rhodes. Darlene L. Dalton, 46, Gallipolis Ferry, truancy warrant, arrested by Deputy lee. Carrie E. Pruett, 32, Gallipolis Ferry, 25 counts access fraud, arrested by Lt. Greene.
Mason County EMS
Between Feb. 15 and Feb. 28, Mason County EMS was toned out a total of 293 times; Station 100 had 175 calls (59.7 percent), Station 200 had 46 calls (15.7 percent) and Station 500 had 72 calls (24.6 percent) this will include all calls transports, emergencies and all others.
There were total 131 calls which break down as follows: 51 general medical, 4 abdominal pain, 8 altered mental status, 16 breathing problems, 3 cardiac arrest, 7 chest pains, 3 diabetic emergency, 12 fall, 2 fractured body part, 1 head injury, 2 hemorrhage/laceration, 3 hypertension, 13 overdose, 1 psychiatric problem, 2 seizure, 3 stroke/CVA.
There were 79 calls which resulted in not taking a patient anywhere: 10 ALS assists, 22 cancelled enroute, 4 lift assist to another EMS crew, 8 no patient contact, 19 patients refused care, 11 treated then refused.
There were 140 Patients taken to the area hospitals: 94 to PVH, 18 to HMC-G, 2 to HMC-P,9 to SMH, 10 to CHH, 2 OSU, 1 Riverside Methodist, 1 Thomas Memorial, 1 CAMC Women’s and children 1 to Camden Clark and 1 to Putnam General. These include transports as well as emergencies.
Transport Breakdown was as follows: ALS transports, 8. BLS transports, 89. PVH, transferred 60 patients from that facility.
