LEON — Six candidates, all incumbents, will be listed on the ballot when the Town of Leon holds its municipal election on June 13.

Leon Recorder C. Renae Riffle said Mayor M. Bruce Riffle will seek re-election as the lone candidate for that seat. She, too, will be seeking re-election.

Running for council seats are Sue McKeever, Wayne McKeever, Sam Legg and Greg Barker. Riffle said there is one vacant council position.

Candidates still have until April 25 to run as a write-in candidate for any of the positions.

On election day, Leon residents can vote at the town hall, located a 136 Main Street. Riffle said polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.

Also holding elections the same day will be the towns of Mason and Hartford.

In Mason, five people are seeking the mayor’s position. They include incumbent Mayor Donna Dennis, Darin Young, Chuck Blake, Heath Engle and Larry Daniel.

Running for recorder are incumbent Ciji Casto and Susan Yeager. Nine will be competing for one of five council seats, including incumbents Emily Henry, Bob Wing, Becky Pearson, Marty Yeager and Sharon Kearns, as well as Becky Wing, David Reed, Ricky Kearns and Misty Young.

In Hartford, Gordon Spencer will seek re-election as the lone candidate for the mayor’s seat. Incumbent Recorder Cheryl Oldaker is also the only candidate to seek that office.

Running for council are Nancy Anderson, as well as incumbents Carol Spencer and Patty Neil. Five seats are open.
