Point man arrested after alleged drug bust

POINT PLEASANT — A Point Pleasant man was arrested this week after officers say they discovered alleged heroin at a residence, according to the Point Pleasant Police Department.

James Franklin Will III, 35, has been charged with one felony count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and one felony count of child neglect.

According to the PPPD, on Wednesday, officers with the PPPD, along with deputies from the Mason County Sheriff’s Department, executed a search warrant at 1518 Kanawha Street in Point Pleasant, after receiving information of possible drug activity at that residence. During the search, officers found suspected heroin and other drug paraphernalia, along with $457 in cash, according to the PPPD.

Will was transported to the Western Regional Jail where he remained incarcerated as of Thursday evening. The PPPD stated this case is still under investigation, and other arrests are pending.
