Mason County EMS

Mason County EMS was toned out a total of 217 times between Oct. 1-14. Station 100 had 118 calls, Station 200 had 32 calls and Station 500 had 67 these include all calls, transports as well as emergencies and others. There were 117 patients taken to the area hospitals: 76 to PVH, 8 to HMC-G, 3 to HMC-P, 11 to SMH, 12 to CHH, 1 to OSU, 1 to CAMC Memorial, 2 to CAMC, 1 to Kings Daughter, 2 to WVU-Ruby, these include transports as well as emergencies. All three stations were toned out 217 times; there was 41 calls which resulted in not taking a patient anywhere. There were 3 ALS Assists, 12 cancelled enroute, 12 patients refused care, 4 treated then refused 4 dead on scene, 4 no patient contact, 1 stand by, I lift assist with another EMS crew. Out of the 103 emergencies that were toned and treated, but not necessarily transported: 40 general medical, 2 altered mental status, 8 abdominal pain, 4 breathing problems, 6 chest pains, 7 cardiac arrest, 7 diabetic emergency, 9 fall victim, 2 fractured body part, 6 overdose, 1GI Bleed, 1 head injury, 1 CVA, 2 seizures, 1 hypotension, 2 hypertension 2 OB/GYN, 1 tachycardia. There were 13 ALS transports; there were 72 BLS transports. PVH transferred 41 patients; WVU- Ruby transferred 1 patient. Mason County EMS responded with lights and siren 140 times.
