BECKLEY — Woodmen Life Family Chapter 302 of New Haven, recently attended the 2017 West Virginia Jurisdictional Convention. The event was held at Could try Inn And Suites of Beckley.
Key speakers were Robert T Maker, executive vice president and chief financial officer Woodmen Life of Omaha Nebraska and Ronald Aldridge, director of Woodmen Life, Jackson, Mississippi and Pat Career, regional director WV/Ohio Hurricane. Barbara Forrest of Princeton presented on behalf of the Jurisdictional Convention for their “Fight Hunger Project” checks in the amount of $700 from Woodmen Life of Omaha, Nebraska and $1,108.00 from Jurisdictional Convention payable to tender Mercy of Princeton, to purchase a freezer and refrigerator for its food bank.
After dinner on Saturday evening entertainment was provided by Chris Stanell of Princeton. Chapter 302 was honored with the five-star challenge awarded for the outstanding work in their community.
Chapter 302 President Jim Workman was elected as Vice President of the West Virginia Jurisdiction for 2017-18. Chapter 302 Secretary RoxAnn Workman was elected West Virginia Jurisdiction Trustee for 2017-18. The next West Virginia Jurisdiction Convention will be held in 2019 in Morgantown.
