Kountry Kritters prepare for the fair


The Kountry Kritters 4-H Club held its most recent meeting on July 16 at Sandhill Church of Christ.

The meeting was called to order by President Kate Henderson. Meditations were led by Nathan Wood and Mariah Nowlin. The secretary’s report was given by Katherine Deem and the Kira Henderson gave the treasurer’s report. Reports were given on barrel painting by Nathan Wood, Cadenn Sayre, Gracie Monday, and Parker Henderson. There were also reports given on the inaugural Jackpot Show by Katherine Deem, Nathan Wood and Brody Proffitt. It was announced to the club that club t-shirts were still available if any anyone was interested and there were also extra 4-H yard signs to sell.

Members were then given the opportunity to give project demonstrations for their projects they will be displaying at the fair this year. Mariah Nowlin, Kylie Henry, and Kelsie Henry gave demonstrations on her market goat projects. Parker and Kira Henderson gave a demonstration on their projects. Nathan Wood gave a demonstration on his woodworking project. Caleb Stamper and Gracie Monday also gave demonstrations on their market hot projects. Members were reminded that the fair parade is Aug. 5 and the club would have a float in the parade. It was also announced that project books and displays were due on Sunday, Aug. 6 from 1-6 p.m. at the fairgrounds. Motion to adjourn was made by Heath Plants and seconded by Nathan Wood.
