Mothers are such wonderful people

My mother is a precious thing,

a wonder to behold.

Her worth is far above rubies,

her worth far more than gold.

Mother is my security.

She’s like my teddy bear.

She is my Band-Aid on my hurt,

which takes away my cares.

Mother is my frustration board

when my heart is smitten sore.

She is my football that gets kicked,

then goes and makes a score.

Mother is my mentor

inspiring me to go on.

She too is my heroine with

brave acts, unseen, but won.

Mother is like my earthly garden

giving me food for life,

with flowers growing in between

to beautify my strife.

Mother is my housekeeper,

my laundry lady and cook.

At times she’s my taxi driver,

my errand boy, and pocketbook.

Mother is my dictionary,

my teacher and my school.

She is my Bible that I see,

that shows the golden rule.

My Mother is a precious thing,

a wonder to behold.

Her worth is far above rubies,

her worth far above gold.

I love her much with all my heart,

I’d like for her to know

that every where I walk about,

my mother too, will go.
