This is the busiest time of year for the Mason County Youth Wrestling League, the oldest youth wrestling organization in Mason County. Young grapplers are making their way through the season and heading towards tournament time in a few weeks. Last night, wrestlers with the Point Pleasant Patriots took on a tough team from Huntington at Point Pleasant Intermediate School. Pictured are members of the Patriots team looking on as a match unfolds. Also pictured, long-time volunteer for the youth league and Coach Joe Veith guides wrestlers through their matches as the hometown crowd looks on. The Patriots are just one of several teams in Mason County who belong to the youth wrestling league which also includes girls, like this young lady for the Patriots who took on her male counterpart from Huntington and won the match.
