The Point Pleasant Police Department reports the following arrests: Randy M. Harmon, 50, Point Pleasant, illegal possession of a firearm and battery (both misdemeanors), arrested by Sgt. J.D. Reynolds. Harmon was transported to the Western Regional Jail. His bond was set at $2,000 in Mason County Magistrate Court. Justin Sayre, 28, Point Pleasant, parole violation, arrested by Lt. Matt Taylor, transported to Western Regional Jail.
The following cases were recently heard by Judge David W. Nibert in Mason County Circuit Court, according to the official court docket filed in the office of Circuit Clerk Bill Withers: State v. Charles G. Rusk, plea to conspiracy, sentencing set for 9:45 a.m., Sept. 13. State v. Brandon I. Roush, plea to misdemeanor, six months in regional jail, credit with time served. State v. Kimberly McDonough, plea to misdemeanor, sentencing Sept. 3. State v. Robert A. Jordan, III, made admissions, home confinement revoked, order previous sentence be imposed with West Virginia Division of Corrections, followed by Day Report. State v. James Rockwell, defendant placed on home confinement. State v. Timothy L. Taylor, continued to 9:30 a.m., Aug. 12 for plea. State v. Megan Hammack, continued to 10:15 a.m., Aug. 12, trial at 9:30 a.m., Aug. 20. State v. Shane A. Meadows, defendant did not show for trial, capias warrant issued, bond revoked. State v. Johnny S. Hall, status conference on Aug. 19. State v. Lester L. Leonard, trial continued to 9:30 a.m., Aug. 20. State v. Ronald Blanchard, trial continued to 9:30 a.m., Aug. 20. State v. Johnathan Beaver, defendant did not show for trial, capias warrant issued, bond revoked.
