LAKIN — The Mason County Detachment of the West Virginia State Police reports the following arrests and accidents: Kurt E. Withers, 33, Apple Grove, DUI first offense, transported to Western Regional Jail, arrested by Sr. Trooper S.C. Allen. Kevin S. Hall, 23, driving suspended, petit larceny, arrested by TFC A.B. Ward. Patricia J. McNeely, 54, Ashton, DUI first offense, transported to Western Regional Jail, arrested by Trooper T.V. Hughes. Brian David Kearns, 20, Henderson, domestic battery, arrested by Sr. Trooper S.C. Allen.
Alisha G. Streetman, 29, Letart, was driving a 1998 Ford Explorer, going westbound on Jericho Rd. when she went around a curve too fast, lost control and ran off the road. Streetman was injured and was transported to a local hospital by personnel with Mason County EMS for treatment of her injuries. There was no citation listed on the report. The accident is being investigated by Sr. Trooper S.C. Allen.
Raymond T. McFarland, 61, Mason, was driving a 2003 Jeep Liberty on Potters Creek Rd. as was James T. Bess, Jr., 39, Swannanoa, N.C. who was driving a 2006 Mazda 6S. Swannanoa slid sideways in a curve and struck Bess’ vehicle. Swannanoa was cited for failure to maintain control. There were no injures. The accident is being investigated by Cpl. K.M. Gilley.

POINT PLEASANT — The Point Pleasant Police Department recently released its monthly activity report for September. There were 99 citations issued, 21 misdemeanor arrests made, three felony arrests made, 13 accident reports filed, 28 complaint reports taken, two warning citations given. Arrested and transported to the Western Regional Jail were: Jason C. Roach, burglary warrant. Richard A. Franklin, Jr., domestic battery. Kellie L. Franklin, domestic battery. Joseph Oldaker, III, domestic battery, obstructing officer. Lora A. Terry, disorderly conduct, public intoxication. Christopher P. Rayburn, disorderly conduct, public intoxication. Robert E. Lee, capias times two. Brenton L. Glover, grand larceny. Zachary M. Cline, violation of domestic violence petition times five. Joseph G. Stewart, domestic battery warrant.
